RARE FRENCH NODDING DONKEY CAROUSEL FIGURE. Late 19th – early 20th century. Hollow carved figure of donkey in full trappings with molded brass ornamentation. Head and neck mounted to torso with counterweight, allowing for nodding movement. SIZE: 50″ h x 64″ L. CONDITION: Structurally fair to good, old painted surfaces worn and weathered with old damages and repairs to tail and ear. 9-24130 (1,800-2,200)
