FINE NEW ENGLAND SHERATON INLAID MAHOGANY BOWFRONT CHEST OF DRAWERS. Circa 1840, probably Massachusetts. The rectangular top with turret corners, the edges with checkerboard contrasting inlay. Fitted with four graduated long drawers each with cockbeaded edge, string borders with inlaid fan spandrels, flanked by engaged reeded pilasters terminating in swelled ring-turned legs centering a shaped apron. SIZE: 40-3/4″ h x 42″ l x 23″ d. PROVENANCE: From the private collection and estate of Robert Nugent, Glenridge, NJ.
