PAIRPOINT REVERSE PAINTED TABLE LAMP. Beautifully painted scenic shade commonly referred to as the Garden of Allah is truly reminiscent of the art created by Maxfield Parrish. Showing cement garden walls with statues atop the garden stairways the scene also shows a water fountain and lush foliage with billowing clouds to the background. The shade is painted in intense blues, purples, greens and magenta with other earthen colors. An absolutely stunning example of this shade. The shade is signed “Pairpoint Corp.” and is also artist signed “Fred F 1934”. Shade is supported by a three-arm, two-socket base of high art nouveau styling which rests atop a marble foot. SIZE: Shade is 16″ dia. Overall 21″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with minor wear. Silver-plated base is tarnished. 5-66452 (2,000-3,000)
