GALLE ENAMEL & METAL BASKET. Exceptional Galle basket is done in dark amber glass with rich enameled decoration adorning the flat lip of the basket. Sides of the lip are rolled inward and finished with an applied ribbed handle on each side. Basket is further finished with a metal handle of cherry branches, leaves and cherries with red, green and brown patination giving the handle a rich, natural appearance. Signed on the underside with etched signature “E. Galle”. SIZE: 8-1/4″ l x 7-3/4″ t. PROVENANCE: From the Private Collection of Dorothy Lee Jones.
