MONUMENTAL SIZE GALLE ENAMELED VASE. Absolutely the largest Galle enameled vase that we have ever offered. This amber glass background is decorated with an allover thistle pattern in autumnal colors. The thistle blossoms are thickly enameled in greens, mauves and blue. The vase is finished with an Art Nouveau repetitive pattern at rim. Signed “Emile Galle a Nancy depose” in script to underside of vase. SIZE: 17″ t. PROVENANCE: From the Private Collection of Dorothy Lee Jones.
