VERY RARE REMINGTON BEALS ARMY MODEL PERCUSSION REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Perc. SN 12. Blued finish, 8” oct bbl with two line Beals’ patent marking, dovetail cone front sight, brass triggerguard, 2-pc smooth walnut grips. This was the 12th revolver produced of Remington’s new large frame Army revolvers as requested by the Army circa 1862. This is one of only 1900 produced and is extremely rare and seldom found in this condition. There are no inspector marks. CONDITION: Very good. 60% thinning blue on the bbl, mixed with spots of light surface rust. Frame & cyl have a blue/brown patina. 40% silver on triggerguard is very thin. Grips retain some varnish over small scratches & dents. Bore is lightly pitted. Mechanically fine. 4-59369 JH130 (5,000-7,000)
