ATTRIBUTED TO ELMER LIVINGSTON MACRAE (American, 1875-1953) THE SISTERS. Oil on canvas board interior scene shows two identically dressed young girls in a room setting. One sits on a large laying black and white dog. The other on a flower upholstered French sofa. Colorful wall panels are the backdrop with exotic birds. The painting in unsigned on the front and has a pencil inscription to the back “Mrs. T. A. Clark June 2nd E. M.”. Housed in an old gilt decorated frame with a label “Made by D. Matt Hand carved picture frames New York City”. SIZE: 24″ x 18″. CONDITION: Very good. It could use a cleaning and revarnish. 9-28979 (4000-6000)
