*SAVAGE 1899A LEVER ACTION RIFLE. SN 160566. Cal .30-30 26″ rnd bbl Savage Hi-pressure steel with standard bbl markings. Savage marked rear sight with windage adjustment and captive elevator. Rocky Mountain front sight with German silver blade. Standard blued receiver with case colored lever. Stocked with straight grained American walnut. Straight grip stock with perch belly and crescent steel buttplate. Schnable forend. CONDITION: Fine. Very good bbl blue, thinning in some spots mixing with light spots of patina near cal. marking and in other areas. Receiver has approx 90% bright blue with thinning on the sharp edges and normal scratches. Lever has strong case colors on the sides mixing with patina on the outside surfaces and edges. Crescent buttplate has good blue mixing with patina, thinning on edges with small spots of light pitting in the toe and heel areas. Buttstock has a small chip on the lower edge of right ear and small crack above the bottom of left ear. Stock and forend show areas of moderate wear and light cracking of orig finish with normal handling marks. Action is mechanically sound. Bore is bright with strong rifling. 4-40253 DS1 (700-1,000)
