It has hand stamped “AMES” markings and the date “1864” on ricasso and spurious inscription on backstrap of the handle. PROVENANCE: From a coastal New Jersey home. CONDITION: Good, as artificially aged. Dark brown rusted scabbard. 9-24229 (300-500)
