EXCEPTIONAL AND IMPORTANT FULL BODIED COPPER STEER WEATHERVANE. Late 19th century, Attributed to Cushing & White, Waltham, Massachusetts. This large verdigris example with fine surfaces, and well delineated snout and horns. Of overall stout proportions. Acquired by the current owner in Massachusetts approximately forty years ago. Now offered on a large stand. SIZE: 22-1/2″ h x 40″ l overall. PROVENANCE: From a fine Concord, Massachusetts home. CONDITION: Structurally very good with multiple open bullet holes in midsection. Also with multiple old bullet holes repaired with lead. Verdigris surfaces appear untouched. Mounted on a rod, and offered with a large custom stand.
