GEORGIAN STYLE CARVED MAHOGANY CARD TABLE. Mid-19th century, England. This nice benchmade centennial example branded “EDWARDS & ROBERTS” on the frieze drawer. The shaped rectangular hinged top with dragooned edges carved with a foliate floral border above the conforming apron fitted with a single drawer carved with leaf tips raised on cabriole legs headed by acanthus leaf carving and scrolled volutes terminating in ball and claw feet. SIZE: 29″ h x 32″ w x 15-1/2″ d. PROVENANCE: Collection and shop contents of Linda and the late Vito Peri (owners of the Blue Dolphin Antique Shop, Northport, Maine). CONDITION: Very good untouched surfaces showing normal and expected minor blemishes. Secondary wood with some insect damage. 9-90038 (2,000-4,000)
