*WINCHESTER 1894 TAKEDOWN LEVER ACTION RIFLE. SN 851179. Cal 30 W.C.F. 26″ oct bbl with fixed blade front sight and replacement open rear sight. Bbl markings on left upper flat “MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO./NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A. PATENTED AUGUST 21.1894” and “NICKEL STEEL BARREL/ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER.” followed by “30 W.C.F.” Full length magazine. Standard receiver, lever, hammer and trigger with blued finish. Top tang marked “MODEL 1894/WINCHESTER/TRADE MARK REG.U.S.PAT.OFF.&FGN.” Crescent steel rifle buttplate. Stocked with straight grain American walnut. CONDITION: Very fine. Excellent bright bbl and magazine tube blue with light edge wear and handling marks. Receiver, receiver extension and lever have very good blue mixing with patina and normal handling marks. Buttplate has good blue mixing with patina in small spots of light pitting on the edges. Sound stock and forend with very good orig finish and light handling marks.
