PAIR OF FINE CHIPPENDALE BELL METAL BALLTOP ANDIRONS. Last quarter 18th-century. Probably Rhode Island. The ball finial joined to a cylindrical ring-turned shaft continuing to a conforming base, raised on spurred cabriole legs terminating in ball and claw feet. SIZE: 20″h. overall depth 21″ CONDITION: In very good condition overall, retaining original log posts and rests. No restoration noted. 9-20056 (1,200-1,800)
