CARVED GILTWOOD PILOT HOUSE EAGLE. Mid-19th century. A finely articulated eagle with spread wings and raised head mounted on a rockwork plinth. SIZE: 26″ h x 39″ wing span. CONDITION: Retains old original surfaces and gilding, the body with joint and shrinkage cracks, the backs of the wings with old iron reinforcements, some old filled repairs proper left side at juncture of leg to body; with very good old weathered surface. 9-92534 (10,000-12,500)
