*WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 15″ TRAPPER. SN 876515. Cal .25-20 WCF 14″ rnd bbl with replacement silver blade in carbine front sight and second type carbine rear sight. Marking on left side of bbl “MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO./NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A. PATENTED OCTOBER 14.1884″ Standard carbine receiver with saddle ring, steel carbine buttplate. Gumwood stock and trapper length forend with overall length of 7-7/8”. PROVENANCE: Letter from U.S Department of Justice Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco,Firearms and Explosives stating this carbine “is hereby removed from the provisions of the NFA” CONDITION: Good. Bbl and magazine tube have blue in protective areas mixing with patina and light surface corrosion. Receiver has remnants of blue mixing with patina and areas of pitting. Sound stock and forend are refinished with normal handling marks. Dark bore with areas of pitting. Sound mechanics. 4-40037 DS10 (3,000-5,000)
