Original printers template used for the printing of the actual document released to the public pertaining to the declaration of an Act of the Eighty-Seventh Congress of the United States, at the First Session, September 15, 1961, resolving that the Congress salutes “Uncle Sam” Wilson, of Troy, New York, as the progenitor of America’s National Symbol of ”Uncle Sam”. Signed in the template by the Secretary of the Senate and the Clerk of the House of Representatives. This is a truly unique and historically significant item, as it pertains to the most important printed document in the history of Samuel Wilson and his being officially declared the one and only original “Uncle Sam” by an Act of Congress of the United States. This document put an end to any questions or controversy as to the origin of “Uncle Sam”. SIZE: 12 ” x 8 ” (Metal plate).
