FINE JAPANNED CHINOISERIE DECORATED QUEEN ANNE MIRROR. Possibly 18th century, England. The rectangular mirror plate within a molded and carved surround beneath the shaped crest decorated with women in a garden landscape. The whole with gilt highlights and floral vinery. The back of the mirror carved with an armorial crest, left side facing, and additionally carved “London/1746”. SIZE: 30-1/2″ h x 16-1/2″ w. PROVENANCE: From a fine Augusta, Maine estate. CONDITION: The frame with early, in not original, surfaces. Mirror plate a later replacement. Generally good. 9-29341 (400-600)
