CHINOISERIE DECORATED CABINET ON STAND. Second half 18th century, Ireland. The rectangular cabinet chinoiserie decorated with pastoral landscapes mounted with original incised and embossed hardware, the cupboard doors opening to an interior fitted with two fixed shelves, set within a carved walnut stand with foliate carved and parcel gilt frame, the apron carved with scrolling leaf tips, floral garlands, and central scallop shell raised on boldly carved cabriole legs with volutes terminating in hoof feet. SIZE: 62-1/2″ h x 43″ overall w x 22-1/2″ overall d. CONDITION: Decorations with craquelure and dry flaking throughout. Structurally good. The carved base with break to garland proper left apron and proper right apron. Otherwise good. Normal and expected wear to gilding commensurate with age.
