MINIATURE ON IVORY PORTRAIT AND TWO SILHOUETTES. The oval painting on ivory shows a half portrait of a gentleman with brown hair, brown coat, and black bow tie. Housed in a locket type frame with a braided hair wreath encased in glass on the back of the frame. The subject is believed to be Samuel McCobb (1707-1791), and came from Ireland to Boothbay, Maine. Along with two antique silhouettes: One of William McCobb (1791-1879), the other of John McCobb (1797-1820). Both housed in small antique wood frames. Both silhouette sitters are from East Boothbay, Maine. SIZE: 1) Sight: 2-1/2″ x 2″. Overall: 3″ x 2-1/2″. 2) 4-1/4″ x 3-1/4″. Overall: 5-3/4″ x 4-3/4″ . 4″ x 3″. Overall: 5″ x 4-1/2″.
