*WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 ROUND BARREL RIFLE. SN 833890. Cal. 38WCF, 24″ rnd bbl with fixed blade front sight and open rear sight. Left side of bbl marked “MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. / NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A. PATENTED OCTOBER 14, 1884”. Standard blued receiver and lever. Crescent steel rifle buttplate. Stock and forearm of straight grain American black walnut. CONDITION: Very Fine. Bbl retains 98% blue with slight muzzle wear, very minor handling marks. Magazine tube retains 95% blue with a spot of patina between forearm cap and magazine tube band. Forearm cap has some blue mixing with patina and light surface corrosion. Receiver and lever have 98% bright blue with minor edge wear, minor handling marks and light scratches. Buttplate has 90% blue with light handling marks. Sound buttstock with very good finish and normal wear and handling marks. Sound forearm with good finish and normal wear and handling marks. Crisp mechanics with good bore. 4-36899 DS13 (5,500-7,500)
