WILLIAM LESTER STEVENS (American, 1888-1969) CURVE IN WINTER ROAD. Outstanding oil on canvas winter landscape shows a curving road through birch trees with winter snow covered ground. The sun reflects off the snow lighting the trees with its winter glow. A nice early work by Stevens. Signed lower left “William Lester Stevens NA”. Housed in a black painted gold decorated frame. Accompanying the painting is a brief history from a previous owner indicating that this painting was purchased from Stevens in 1940 as a 40th wedding anniversary gift. SIZE: 25″ x 30″.
