SEMI-ANTIQUE KERMAN CARPET. First quarter 20th century, Southeast Persia. An intricate floral rosette design in shades of rose and pale indigo with midnight blue borders and polychrome floral edges within a claret arabesque medallion, lobed lotus blossoms within pale indigo and claret floral spandrels. The blue/black main border with scrolling floral lotus vinery flanked by conforming guard borders. SIZE: 14’1″ x 9′. PROVENANCE: From a fine Maine and New York private collection. CONDITION: Very good with nearly full pile. Colors remain strong and vibrant. 9-29904 (2,000-3,000)
