FEDERAL PINE SUGAR CHEST ON STAND. Early 19th century, mid-Atlantic region. The small dovetailed box with hinged lid with a single drawer at the base. Fitted to a conforming stand with molded edge and scalloped apron raised on chamfered square legs joined by an X-form stretcher. SIZE: 33-1/2″ h x 17″ w 12-3/4″ d. CONDITION: Retains original brass knobs. Slight shrinkage crack on lid. Normal and expected wear and abrasions commensurate with age. 9-27827 (1,000-1,500)
