FULL BODY STANDING HORSE COPPER WEATHERVANE. Late 19th/early 20th century, possibly Harris & Co., Boston, Massachusetts. A variation of either “FANCY HORSE” or “ARABIAN”. This well-modeled example of strong proportion with verdigris surfaces accompanied by a museum stand. SIZE: 23″ h x 26-1/2″ l. PROVENANCE: From a private Waterville, Maine collection. CONDITION: Weathervane in very good condition. No restoration noted. Supporting rod in need of restoration at vertical post. Minor and minimal seam splits on foreleg. 9-29608 (2,000-4,000)
