THREE WHALE OIL LAMPS.

THREE WHALE OIL LAMPS. 1) Blown font, pressed base whale oil lamp. Font is frosted throughout with cut decoration around the top third of the lamp. Collar and burner are brass and appear to be original to the lamp. Pressed base is connected by a ringed wafer. Base is the square rose foot type. 2) Blown font pressed base whale oil lamp. Font is undecorated, collar and burner are missing. It is connected to the base with a ringed wafer. Base is pressed in the sided lion paw form. 3) Blown font and blown in mold base whale oil lamp. Font is undecorated with a pewter collar that has been reattached. Ringed wafer connects to a blown in mold eye and scale cylindrical base. SIZE: 10-1/4″ t x 3-1/8″ w, 9-3/4″ t x 4-1/2″ w and 12″ t x 4-1/4″ w respectively. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: Lamps are very good to excellent. Lamps 1 & 2 have the usual flakes and chipping around the base. Lamp 3 is undamaged. 5-63128 (400-600)
