EXTREMELY RARE FEDERAL PAINT DECORATED TABLE TOP POLE SCREEN. First quarter 19th century, New England. The rectangular screen with notched corners in original green paint with yellow borders and an oval patera. Fitted with bracket and wooden set screw mounted to and adjusting on a pole surmounted by an acorn finial joined to a round turned plinth. SIZE: 20-3/4″ h. PROVENANCE: Ex-Clark Garrett collection (Ohio). CONDITION: Very fine original condition with no restorations. 9-20347 (7,000-10,000)
