OUTSTANDING LOT OF SIX FRAMED MCKENNEY & HALL AMERICAN INDIAN CHIEF PRINTS. Each identically housed in modern gilt frames with double mattes and glass front. Each showing a colored bust of a Native American Chief, titled with publishing line by “F.W. Greenough, Philadelphia”. Also “L.T. Bowen’s Lithographic Establishment 1836”. The lot includes: “Chono Ca Pe (an Ottoe Chief)”; “Meta-Koosega (A Chippeway Warrior)”; “Young Ma Has Kah (Chief of the Ioways)”; “Caa-Tou-See (an Ojibway)”; “Esh-Ta-Hum-Leah (A Sioux Chief)”; “Moa-Na-Hon-Ga Great Walker. (an Ioway Chief)”. SIZE: Sight: 19″ x 13″. Overall with frame: 31-3/4″ x 25-1/2″. CONDITION: Moa-Na-Hon-Ga having a 1″ visible tear in left side with a few other very small closed tears. The edges having toned, very minor foxing spots, generally very good. Appear not to be laid down. Not examined out of frame 9-23906 (2,500-4,000)
