IMPORTANT NEW YORK FEDERAL INLAID MAHOGANY SERPENTINE SIDEBOARD. Late 18th century. The rectangular top with deep serpentine front, the edges with contrasting string inlay and crossbanded, above the conforming case fitted with four aligned crossbanded and string inlaid short drawers, all with original brass hardware, above a pair of recessed bowfront cabinet doors flanked by concave bottle drawers; bottom doors and drawers inlaid with fan spandrels, raised on rhomboid tapering frontal legs with string inlaid outlines and crossbanded cuffs, the rear legs square and tapered. SIZE: 39″ h x 75-1/2″ w x 29-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Very fine with rich color and good patina. Professionally repolished over old surfaces. 9-20322 (12,000-15,000)
