NEW ENGLAND QUEEN ANNE INLAID MAHOGANY CANDLESTAND. Late 18th Century, probably coastal New England. The oval figured mahogany top with conforming inlaid central patera, the edge string inlaid, tilting on an urn-form ring-turned and incised standard raised on a cabriole leg tripod base terminating in ridged platform pad feet. SIZE: 28-1/2″ h x top 22″ x 15″. CONDITION: Professionally repolished, the top with remnants of old water staining. Table retains original tilting and locking mechanism. 9-98765 (2,500-3,500)
