RARE FULL BODIED COPPER HORSE & JOCKEY WEATHERVANE. Circa 1895, possibly J. W. Fiske & Co., New York. This version of a galloping rider, modeled with the Jockey leaning forward. Horses head and jockey of zinc. With old painted surfaces. Offered with copper and cast-iron directionals, pole, and copper mid-molded ball. Offered without stand. SIZE: 15″ h x 32″. CONDITION: Old painted surfaces have been mostly artificially removed. Multiple dents on hind quarters, tail creased and twisted slightly to the left, front legs bent slightly to crossed position. Jockey’s hat with some damages to peaked brim, and to skull of cap. Otherwise fair, but restorable. 9-24699 (6,000-8,000)
