RARE & IMPORTANT LEAPING STAG WEATHERVANE. Circa 1865-1870, attributed to Cushing & White, Waltham, Massachusetts. Full bodied copper example with cast zinc head, antlers, tail, and rock outcropping, depicted leaping over a bush. Sold with museum stand. SIZE: 18″ h x 26-1/2″ l. 19-1/2″ h overall. CONDITION: Very fine overall. Surface with traces of early gilt finish with very good verdigris patina. 9-24144 (10,000-20,000)
