THREE WHALE OIL LAMPS. 1) Blown font, frosted throughout with a cut grape and vine design. Collar has been replaced. Base is a three step pressed base. 2) Blown font and shaft, void of decoration. Collar is pewter and appears to be original to the lamp. There is a burner included with the lamp that is slightly too big. Base of the lamp is pressed in a square form. 3) Blown and pressed whale oil lamp in white milk glass. Font is blown in two sections being put together with various wafers. Collar is a much later replacement. Pressed base is of lion head and basket of flowers form. SIZE: 9-1/4″ t x 4″ w, 12-1/4″ t incl burner x 4″ w and 12-1/4″ t x 3-1/4″ w at base respectively. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: 1) Very good. Base has a significant number of chips and flakes. 2) Very good to excellent with very minor flaking around the bottom of the base. 3) Lamp is very good however, one corner of the base of the lamp is severely chipped and another corner has a minor though significant chip. 5-63126 (500-700)
