IMPORTANT DIMINUTIVE ENGLISH QUEEN ANNE FIGURED MAHOGANY GAMES TABLE. Second quarter 18th century. Made of fine Santo Domingo mahogany, the rectangular hinged top with bold turret corners, edges carved with scrolling ribbons alternating with flower heads above the conforming frieze fitted with a central drawer with cockbeaded edges, raised on frontal cabriole legs with scalloped returns terminating in circular platform pad feet. The rear legs of tapering cylindrical form terminating in circular platform pad feet. SIZE: 27-1/2″ h x 28-1/4″ w x 13″ d. CONDITION: Professionally repolished. Brass hardware of the the period, but not original to the table. Original position of brass bale now plugged and repolished. All structural elements original with exception of proper left rear foot having an old spliced replacement of 1/3 of the pad foot. Overall with dark rich color. 9-20326 (8,000-12,000)
