25” LONG FACE JUMEAU. A truly beautiful example of a so-called “Triste” Jumeau. Doll is marked on rear of head with number “11” and is on an eight ball jointed marked Jumeau body also with Paris store label, “JEUX & JOUETS”. The somber-faced doll has pale bisque with light mauve shadowing, cornflower blue paperweight eyes and sandy blonde mohair wig. Marked size “11” French leather shoes (frail condition) and wearing an aqua checked wool frock with feather stitching and matching aqua hat.
