RARE BOX OF NEW HAVEN ARMS CO. 44 HENRY RIMFIRE CARTRIDGES.

RARE BOX OF NEW HAVEN ARMS CO. 44 HENRY RIMFIRE CARTRIDGES. Full box of 50 early 44 Rimfire Henry ammunition with green & black top label on a Kraft colored 2 pc box. Ammunition is standard flat nose lead bullets with copper cases that have recessed, raised “H” head stamps. Label is imprinted “50 CARTRIDGES / FOR / HENRY’S REPEATING RIFLE, / MANUFACTURED BY THE / NEW HAVEN ARMS CO., / NEW HAVEN, CONN. / No. 44-100.”. These early boxes of Henry ammunition are rarely encountered today especially full, with intact label. CONDITION: Good to very good. Label is intact with a couple of very minor chips in the edge and light wear, not affecting the printing or border. There is a small blue ballpoint ink line on the bottom front edge of the label. Box has several open corners & edges but is complete and easily repairable which would be unnoticeable from the outside. Ammunition has lightly oxidized bullets with a dark copper patina on the cases. Altogether a rare box. 4-40745 JR310 (4,000-7,000)
