GROUP OF FIVE NANTUCKET LIGHTSHIP BASKETS. Mid 20th century, Nantucket, Massachusetts. The first a signed handbag with lid branded by the maker, “Jose Formosa Reyes”. The second a large oval open basket with bentwood swing handle. The third a shallow round basket with swing handle. The fourth a similar deep example. The fifth a miniature round swing basket with handle. SIZE: 1) 6-3/4″ h x 9″ l x 7-1/2″ w. 2) 7″ h x 15-1/2″ l x 12″ w. 3) 4″ h x 8-1/2″ dia. 4) 7″ h x 9-3/4″ dia. 5) 3″ h x 3-1/4″ dia. CONDITION: Generally very good. 1) With very worn brand on bottom. 3) With losses to wrapping of rim by handle. 9-27217 (800-1,200)
