UNIQUE AESTHETIC MOVEMENT EAGLE CARVED STAND. Last quarter 19th century, New England. The square molded top above the conforming frieze pierce carved with vinery, joined to four spiral twist legs, joined by a vine carved gallery above the lower shelf on which is mounted a nicely carved displayed eagle on a turned ball top pedestal. The stand raised on four carved legs simulating the legs and hairy claw feet of an animal. All in cream paint. SIZE: 34-1/2″ h. Top: 14″ x 14″. CONDITION: Painted surfaces with soiling and losses, two feet with losses to claws, generally in need of restoration, but otherwise structurally good. 9-27456 (1,000-1,500)
