SMITH & WESSON BABY RUSSIAN MODEL 2 FIRST TYPE SPUR TRIGGER REVOLVER. Cal. 38 S&W. Nickel finish, 3-1/4” keyhole ribbed bbl with 2-pc round butt pearl grips. This is a scarce variation with the tiny screw on the right side of the frame just in front of the hammer screw, behind the recoil shield. SN 27. CONDITION: Good to very good, all matching except the grips, which are unnumbered. Overall retains 60-70% dull nickel with the balance gray metal color and a couple spots of pitting on the bbl. Grips are fine and fit this revolver well. Bore is strong with moderate pitting, mechanics are fine, the break-open action a little stiff. 4-48087 JR178 (Anderson Collection) (700-1,200)
