*KRAG MODEL 1899 CARBINE. Cal 30-40 Krag. SN 349836. Standard carbine with 22” bbl, pedestal front sight and 2400 yard rear sight, missing a screw. It is in a 1-pc stock with grasping grooves and a bbl band with 1901 cartouche. It has a late hand guard with hump above the rear sight with a smooth steel buttplate with trap. CONDITION: Good to very good. Bbl retains about 90% thinning original blue, the receiver, side plate and cartridge box are a mottled silver gray. Stock is sound with a couple spots of fill and retains most of an old refinish. Hand guard retains 97-98% original finish. Strong bright bore, frosty in the grooves. 4-50441 JR350 (400-700)
