SMITH & WESSON MODEL #2 SECOND TYPE SPUR TRIGGER REVOLVER. Cal. 38 S&W. Blued finish, 5” keyhole ribbed bbl with half moon front sight and round butt, 2-pc black monogrammed hard rubber grips. Fitted with the Mexican spur trigger but has the original “91” flanged hammer. There is a series of letters and numbers lightly scratched on the left side of the grip frame under the grip that appear to be a police property number. SN 5553. CONDITION: Good, all matching except the grips, which are numbered 37784. Overall retains 35-40% thin original blue with the balance being gray metal patina with light pitting on the bbl. Grips are fine with light wear. Bore is strong and bright with light pitting, fine mechanics. 4-48092 JR 182 (Anderson Collection) (500-800)
