REMINGTON BEALS 1ST MODEL 3RD TYPE REVOLVER WITH ORIGINAL BOX. Cal. 31. SN 685. Blued finish with 3” oct bbl with standard two line Beals’ patent bbl marking, dovetail cone German silver sight, 1-pc gutta percha bag grip. German silver triggerguard is engraved “J.D. Mc VICAR”. Consignor’s research has turned up the name, Duncan McVicar, which may or may not be the McVicar noted on the triggerguard. Accompanied by orig 2-pc cardboard box compartmented for revolver, an “E PLURIBUS. UNUM.” pistol flask, a loading tool, a cleaning rod, brass mold & very rare nipple wrench & research papers. CONDITION: Good. Metal surfaces have been cleaned & enhanced. Grips have minor scratches at the bottom. Mechanically good. Box has repairs on the front edge & corner of lid, but is otherwise very good. Flask has shallow dents on both sides. Mold is slightly battered, the other two TOOLS are fine. 4-59452 JH64 (3,000-4,500)
