JAPANESE HAND PAINTED WALL SCROLL, LATE EDO PERIOD. On blue and gold silk, with the hand painted design of butterflies by Shien Murata and with love poem inscription by Tamechika Reizei. PROVENANCE: Murata and Reizei revived the Japanese traditional paintings which has been continued by members of the Tosa and Sodatsu & Rinpa school from Heian period to the beginning of Edo period. SIZE: 46-1/4”l x 29-1/2”w. CONDITION: Overall very good with some creasing in silk, some water staining in upper panel. 9-90014 MD (75-150)
