LOT OF TWO U.S. MARKED HORSE BITS & A MILITARY BUGLE. (1) Riding bit with brass US medallions on each side and nickel silver chain with rein loops on the bottom. CONDITION: Cleaned to bright metal with heavy pitting. Back edges of the medallions have been cut away, apparently along with the back edge of the bit. (2) Draft horse or artillery bit, 8″ long x 5-5/8″ wide with slim serpentine sides and brass US medallions riveted on each side. CONDITION: One chinstrap hook is missing. Dark brown patina with crusty rust. (3) Small brass bugle about 10″ long with 3-1/2″ bell marked “J.W. YORK & SONS / GRAND RAPIDS / MICHIGAN U.S.A.”, complete with mouthpiece. CONDITION: Numerous small dents & dings and retains a light mustard patina. 4-54148, 4-54149 JR336 (400-700)
