SMITH & WESSON MODEL #2 SECOND TYPE SPUR TRIGGER REVOLVER. Cal. 38 S&W. Blued finish, 6” keyhole ribbed bbl with high half moon front sight and round butt, 2-pc medallion pearl grips. Fitted with the Mexican model flat-sided hammer and spur trigger. However, it has the half-cock safety notch in the hammer. SN 23808. CONDITION: Very good to fine, all matching except the latch, which is numbered 5758 and the grips, which are unnumbered. Overall, it retains about 90% strong, bright blue with some thin areas on the bbl and left side of the frame. Cylinder and grip frame are thin. Hammer and trigger retain most of their brilliant colors. Bright shiny bore, crisp mechanics. Fine grips with a small line on the right side. 4-48091 JR180 (Anderson Collection) (800-1,500)
