COLT MODEL 1878 DA FRONTIER REVOLVER. Cal. 44-40. SN 24229. Nickel finish, 7-1/2” bbl marked on the left side “Colt Frontier Six-Shooter”. It has horn grips that are riveted in place and a lanyard loop in the butt. CONDITION: About good. Retains 85-90% original nickel, dull on the cylinder and flaked in the flutes. Hammer pin is a replacement and the horn grips are hollow on the bottom. Mechanics need attention, will not hold on single action and the cylinder stop is non-functioning.
