LARGE HOSE CARRIAGE BY IDEAL. This ornately cast hose reel is nickel-plated and boasts its original hose. The red enameled spoke wheels are pulled by two large horses, one brown and one silver, both in gold trappings, and are galloping—as is illustrated by their flowing manes and tails—towards their destination. The fireman sports a red jacket, blue pants, black hat and shoes, and flesh-toned face and hands. This is highly sought-after because of its rarity and realistic castings. SIZE: 21 1/2”. CONDITION: Overall condition is excellent, minor wear to silver horse and some discoloration on the nickeling behind the rear wheel. MC 1-3987 (3,000-4,000)
