RARE TINY ARMY & NAVY DOUBLE BARREL HAMMER SHOTGUN. Cal. 410. SN 59203. Dainty little shotgun with 27-1/8” bbls choked FULL/IMP-CYL with tapered, concave, smooth rib, sgl bead, dbl underbites & extractor. It is nitro-proofed and has 2” chambers. Mounted with nicely figured English walnut with checkered splinter forearm & straight stock, 13-1/2” over a serrated butt. There is a blank initial oval on bottom. It has a tiny, undecorated rnd action with peninsula back action locks that are marked with company name on both sides. Unable to gage bore diameter, bore restriction or wall thickness. Drop at heel: 1-7/8”, drop at comb: 1-1/4”. Weight: 4 lbs. 4.8 oz. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbls retain strong, orig blue turning plum. Receiver & lockplates retain brilliant case colors in sheltered areas with balance fading to silver and mixed with light patina on bottom of receiver. There is an inside crack in forearm, not showing through, otherwise wood is sound with normal handling & use marks showing light wear and retains most of its orig finish.
