*WINCHESTER MODEL 70 TRANSITION BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Cal 22 Hornet. SN 71187. Beautiful Winchester sporting rifle with 24″ tapered rnd bbl, ramp front sight with Redfield Sheard blade, missing the hood. There is a blank in the rear seat, and receiver is mounted with Redfield bases & rings containing a Redfield 3-9X Widefield scope with duplex crosshairs. The rear bridge is drilled & tapped for scope mount. Mounted in nicely figured, 1-pc, American walnut stock with black forend cap & capped pistol grip with cheek piece and straight comb & checkered steel buttplate. It has deluxe sling swivel bases. Floor plate is marked “SUPER GRADE” with a dash at each end. CONDITION: Very fine to extremely fine, matching numbered bolt. Bbl & receiver retain virtually all of their orig factory finish. Floor plate has slightly thinned edges, otherwise it and the trigger guard retain most of their orig factory blue with a few freckles of rust on the floor plate. Stock is sound with minor nicks & scratches and a short deep scratch on the left side and retains most of its orig factory varnish. Mechanics are crisp.
