*LOT OF TWO REMINGTON RIFLES. Cal. 22. 1) Model 12A Standard Takedown Pump Action rifle. SN 830726. 21-1/2” rnd bbl with standard sights, walnut stock & orig Remington/UMC rubber buttplate. Accompanied by orig shipping box with yellow Remington/UMC end label. Orig cleaning rod & wrapping paper included. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains 96-97% strong orig blue & magazine tube about 85%. Receiver retains 96-98% orig finish turning plum. Wood is sound with a minor nick or two & retains most of a restored finish. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bore. Box is fine, slightly soiled. 2) Model 16 Standard Takedown Semi-Auto Rifle. SN 10254. 22” rnd bbl with standard sights, walnut stock with steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine. Overall retains 96-97% strong orig blue with some light surface rust on bbl & spots of discoloration & pinpoints of rust on receiver. There is a series of skip line scratches from a screwdriver on left side of receiver. Wood is sound with minor nicks & scratches and retains most of a touched up finish. Good mechanics, bright shiny bore. Accompanied by an orig Saturday Evening Post advertisement “AS FOR YOUR / BOY” showing a father teaching his son how to shoot a Model 12A Remington 22 rifle.
