FIVE ITEMS PERTAINING TO THE BANGOR HOUSE, BANGOR, MAINE. 1) Framed three-section piece which includes a descriptive essay from American Magazine, October 1836; Broadside dated May 1st, 1849; and an engraving showing the Bangor House front and back. Housed in a mahogany veneered antique frame. Overall size is 18” h x 34-1/2” w. CONDITION: Some holes in newspaper, some toning. 2) Framed Bangor House Bill of Fare dated 1852. Housed in an antique mahogany veneered frame with matte. Overall size is 17-1/2” 10-1/4”. CONDITION: Some minor stains, good. 3) Framed bill dated 1865 outlining housing and food with total of stay being $102.80. Housed in a flat mahogany veneered antique frame. Overall size is 10-1/2” x 9-1/4”. CONDITION: Some toning, good. 4) Bangor House Bill of Fare for Breakfast, not dated but having a nice engraving of the Bangor House. Overall size is 9” x 5-1/2”. CONDITION: Very good. 5) “Coffee House” sign having black sand finish with gilt letters purportedly from the Bangor House. Size is 9” x 36”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-74228 SM (250-400)
